Allegra Boverman/Cape Ann Magazine. At the Gloucester Writers Center monthly meeting. A group of writers and activists founded the Gloucester Writers Center (GWC) three years ago as an incubator for wordsmiths of all kinds. Based in the 600-square foot East Gloucester home of the late poet Vincent Ferrini, the center is making an impact on authors here and around the globe. From left are Henry Ferrini, Andre' Spears on the laptop, Greg Gibson, William Taylor, Annie Thomas, Peter Higgins and Dorothy Shubow Nelson.
