Gloucester sculptor Daniel Altshuler, who worked for many years as an apprentice to Walker Hancock, repairs the wings of Hancock's scale model of the famed "Pennsylvania Railroad World War II Memorial," on display at the Cape Ann Museum. The wings of Hancock's plaster model were removed when the sculpture was taken down for museum renovations. After gluing the wings back on, Altshuler sealed the cracks with putty and painted over them to restore the model to its original appearance.
