Cather Howard Galli, daughter of business owners Laura and Edwiin Howard of Howard's Flying Dragon Antiques in Essex, found large gold letters and started to write messages in the window display. The sayings caught on and she changes them a few times a week.

“We had these large gold letters we wanted to sell, and I just happened to put some in the window as a display; I don’t even remember the first thing I wrote,” Catherine recalls. “But it started catching on.”<br />
