Rev. Dr. Bert White of Pembroke, a United Methodist minister portraying the Revolutionary-era preacher Benjamin Balch, leads a group of colonial re-enactors in prayer Monday, Patriot's Day, at the grave of colonist Henry Jacobs in Peabody. Jacobs was killed on April 19, 1775 in the Battle of Lexington and is buried in a wooded area just off Edgehill Road.
