Colonial re-enactor Jim Witham of Essex takes a break at the Gideon Foster House in Peabody Monday during a Patriot's Day tour of memorial sites around Peabody and Danvers in honor of the citizen soldiers of the Danvers Alarm who fought at the Battle of Lexington on April 19, 1775. Seven men from Danvers died that day, more than any other town except Lexington itself.
