Gloucester: Sophie Palmer tries out her submersible remote operated vehicle with teacher Eric Sabo at the Maritime Heritage Center Thursday afternoon. Palmer who was working with 20 other Rockport Middle School students was the first to finish her ROV which she had been working on all week. The students all spent their school vacation week at the Maritime Heritage Center thanks to a 3-year NOAA grant the Heritage Center received that's directly focused on environmental education for Rockport students.
