ALLEGRA BOVERMAN/Staff photo. Gloucester Daily Times. Gloucester: Every Wednesday, volunteer Carolin Catalano of Gloucester packs up special boxes for shut-ins at the Open Door for a pilot program called Good Food Box. It's a pilot program that started about a year ago in partnership with the North Shore Health Project. Each box is nutrition-specific and meant for people with specific health concerns. Soon it will be expanding to include people who have cancer and diabetes and target their special food needs. About 11 sets of two boxes each are put together - one full of perishable items and produce, the other with dry goods like cereal and then delivered each week.
