GLOUCESTER DAILY TIMES POY 2014: PHOTOGRAPHER'S TAKE: Covering any event for a news paper can be challenging,but more so, if you covered it many times before. So I challenge myself to look for something that will help tell the story. While scanning around at the many vender and some of the other activities, I noticed a man creating huge bubbles and then noticed the two dads lifting their kids in the air to catch these bubbles, only to have them brust in their face_THAT"S the shot I want! So using a long lens and keeping my distance, I compose my shot and captured Andy Luman of Gloucester and his daughter Hazel 4, as a bubble bursts in their face, while all along keeping the other dad and his child in the frame, as they waiting for the bubble to come their way, at Manchester's celebration of the arts Saturday afternoon at Masconomo Park, making this an easy choice for Photo of the Year.
