Gloucester: Phil Perry, who began Rockport High School's theater program in the 60s and taught there for over 30 years, holds an oscar award he used to give to his students during their drama competition. Rockport native Andrew Stanton, who won an Oscar on Sunday for best animated feature film for "WALL-E," cited Perry in his acceptance speech, saying, "I guess I'd be remiss if I did not thank my high school drama teacher Phil Perry for 28 years ago casting me as Barnaby in Hello, Dolly!."
