Plum Cove Elementary School fourth grader Thomas Partelow receives a "high five" from Manchester Athletic Club counselor Ali Carter after he successfully completed the Project Adventure obstacle course Friday in Manchester. The Manchester Athletic Club hosted third through fifth graders from Plum Cove on Friday, and another group from Beeman Memorial Elementary School last Wednesday, as part of its enrichment program. The program, offered free to area schools, included agility and strength training exercises and -- after the students had worked up an appetite -- a lesson in healthy snacking.
