Izzy Eliassen, 11, watches as instructor Lauren Monroe shows how to extract DNA from an apple during a "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" program Wednesday at the Manchester Public Library. The program, for children in grade six and above, was timed to coincide with a half day of school at Manchester Essex Public Schools. Kids learned how to study fingerprints, how to study fiber evidence under a microscope, and how to identify certain types of bones.
