Nine-year-old Kaelan Mulkern holds an Eastern Rat Snake during a special visit by Rick Roth and other members of the Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team to the Rockport Recreation Department's Summer Fun Program. Roth showed the children a variety of snakes from New England and other parts of the world.
