Gloucester: During the “Rainbow Warrior” day at Veterans Memorial Elementary School on Thursday, students sampled fruits and vegetables in a rainbow of colors and then charted their reaction to their taste, texture, crunch, juiciness and other criteria. Produce included grapes, peaches, cherry tomatoes and snow peas. The activity was part of the FoodCorps and CitySprouts food-related events that have been taking place all year at the school. Preparing more samples for students are, front, Erin Taylor placing tomatoes and in back, Grace Cherubino, slicing peaches.
