GHS Thinks Pink

About 75 Gloucester High School students and faculty pose in the shape of a pink ribbon Friday in the school field house. Exactly twice that many pink t-shirts were sold this year, in what has become an annual tradition at the school during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The student council, with help from advisors Carol Finacey and Rayanne Menery-Sammataro, raised over $700 to benefit local families affected by breast cancer and other forms of cancer. Much of the success of this year's project is being credited to co-advisor Finacey, a breast cancer survivor who was frequently seen in the school hallways, enthusiastically drumming up sales for the shirts.
