Allegra Boverman/Gloucester Daily Times. From left are Gloucester High School sophomores Jacob Emerson, Kylie ALlen and Laylyn Andrews. They were taking turns with other classmates in using a pulmonary function machine. The machine tests lung capacity and can help detect asthma and other lung diseases. They were visiting the booth hosted by Lahey Health Cardiopulmonary Service during a health and healthcare career fair at the high school on Wednesday. Gloucester High School Health Center and Addison Gilbert Hospital hosted the free health fair and healthcare career day. The machine was harder to blow into than it looked.
