Allegra Boverman/Gloucester Daily Times. Nick Bamford, originally of Gloucester, now living and teaching fifth graders in Thailand, finishes the last pages of Dune while seated on his favorite bench near Good Harbor Beach on Tuesday. He's been in Gloucester since June working as a personal trainer at his mother's fitness studio nearby and later this month will return to Thailand, where he's been teaching for the last two years. He teaches English, math, science and health there.
