Geoff Deckeman and other workers from Gloucester Marine Railways pull the ropes to tighten the bilge blocks as the 137-foot schooner Roseway is dry-docked Monday on Rocky Neck in Gloucester. Bilge blocks are wooden supports that are moved into place on both sides of the ship's hull when it is in dry-dock. They stabilize the ship and prevent it from rolling over.
