Fifth graders, from left, Ashlee Leonard, Lauren Movalli and Janaya Cluney work together Thursday to identify small sea creatures at Maritime Gloucester. They were part of a group of fifth graders from West Parish Elementary School who visited the museum to take part in the Ocean Explorers program. Students learned how to identify species and conduct an accurate tidal pool population survey. They will use the knowledge when they go on a tidal pool field trip this fall.
