A student and instructor examine a sea star Thursday at Maritime Gloucester. Fifth graders from West Parish Elementary School visited the museum to take part in the Ocean Explorers program. Students learned how to identify species and conduct an accurate tidal pool population survey. They will use the knowledge when they go on a tidal pool field trip this fall.
