MIKE SPRINGER/Staff photo
Seven-year-old Judah Day-Laporte of Gloucester watches as a gray tree frog, a species native to Cape Ann but hard to see in the wild, rests contentedly on his wrist Friday at the Kestrel Educational Adventures Get Outside Center in Gloucester. The center, located in Brown's Mall at 186 Main Street, is open to the public from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. every day but Sunday, and features interactive animal displays and a variety of hands-on activities for learning about science.
