Honoring the Drohan Siblings

Eighty-nine-year-old George Drohan, center, is helped by his daughter, Kelly Ward, and by Cape Ann Veterans Services Director Adam Curcuru to raise the flag during a ceremony outside the Gloucester Veterans Services Center honoring Drohan and his six late siblings and brother-in-law, who all enlisted in the U.S. armed services during World War II. George Drohan enlisted in the Army in March, 1945, about two months before Victory in Europe Day, and remained in the Army 1967, having served a 13-month tour in Vietnam and at various posts in the Middle East. He married his late wife, Ann, who was in the Air Force, in Baghdad, where he was serving at the U.S. Embassy.
