Wood Artist Matthew Trueman

PAUL BILODEAU/Staff photo. Wood artist Matthew Truman of Canada cuts some excess cable that holds his artwork together as he work on his piece at Ocean Alliance on Rocky Neck. The piece will allow people to hear the sounds of the ocean as if they where sitting on the water. The piece is similar to gramophone. 9/20/19

Trueman, the Goetemann Environmental/Installation Artist for September 2019 (working onsite at Ocean Alliance, 32 Horton Street, Gloucester) is a Canadian sculpture and video artist. Trueman studied Mechanical Engineering and completed his MFA at Western University. A resident of London, Ontario, he employed his woodworking background to found an environmentally responsible furniture business called Live With Trees.
