Nine-ear-old Courtney Dellicker of Manchester serves as volunteer assistant for magician Debbie O'Carroll of Newburyport during a party Saturday at the Manchester Public Library to celebrate both the opening of the new children's wing and Sara Collins' 25th anniversary as children's librarian. A large crowd gathered for the event, which included a ribbon-cutting, speeches by Trustees Tim Browne and Alida Bryant and Alison Anholt-White, introduction of project architect Richard Smith and general contractor Rich Lamarre, along with a performance by the Manchester-Essex Regional High School acapella singing group the SoundWaves and the magic show for kids.
