Nine-year-old Elizabeth Loring cuts the ribbon for the new children's wing at the Manchester Public Library during a party Saturday to celebrate both the opening of the new children's wing and Sara Collins' 25th anniversary as children's librarian. The event included speeches by Trustees Tim Browne and Alida Bryant and Alison Anholt-White, introduction of project architect Richard Smith and general contractor Rich Lamarre, along with a performance by the Manchester-Essex Regional High School acapella singing group the SoundWaves and a magic show for kids.
